To help with the cost of your cat’s surgery, we offer CatSNIP discount vouchers of $100 for females and $60 for males. Simply submit your application and residency proof, and we’ll send your voucher and a list of local vets right away.
Once your application and proof of residency are received, AWARE will provide a CatSNIP discount voucher ($100 for females / $60 for males) and a directory of local participating clinics to help cover the cost of surgery.
AWARE is proud to participate in the North Carolina Spay/Neuter Program, offering free CatFIX vouchers to help our community reduce pet overpopulation.
How to Qualify: If you are a resident of Chowan, Gates, or Perquimans County and receive Medicaid or Food Nutrition benefits (SNAP/EBT), you are eligible to have your cat spayed or neutered at a participating veterinarian for free.

How to Apply: Once we receive your completed application along with proof of residency and financial assistance, we will mail your Free CatFIX voucher and specific appointment instructions.
